This is a short prequel to "The Girl of Fire and Thorns," however it focus on Alodia (Elisa's sister.) She really is a kick-butt girl from the start and after reading the first book, I did not expect that from her! I thought she was dainty and proper. This short story proved me wrong. It gives you a little inside info about her since she is not a strong character in either one of the first two books. As of yet the 3rd book has not come out yet (AND I CANNOT WAIT FOR IT!)
It's good for a bit of light reading, not too long, but does have a very nail-bitting plot! It was pretty intense for being so short and I did enjoy it very much!
Rae Carson is proving to be one amazing new author!
